Of course, one can't always up and leave home in pursuit of new and exciting destinations. There are always reasons one needs to stick close to home: finances, time, the 8 hour window for cable repairmen.   But when you've been clubbing in a town for years, it's nice to see how the other half raves, to hear the tracks causing the kids in other cities to bug out.

In the first of what we hope to be a recurring series, Shelter presents: Geography with special guest DJ Th'Elf from Toronto, Ontario.  He's been spinning long enough to have seen the dawn of some of the darker genres we know and love. He's kept his skills sharp with residencies in two countries - Savage Garden [Toronto] and the
Chamber [Cleveland] - and promises to awaken the sleepers with a blend of classics and new tracks in the genres of EBM, Dark Electronic, Synthpop, Industrial with a touch of Goth and Retro.  

There is no dress code for Shelter, so wear whatever gear you prefer to stomp, swirl or steampunk your way to a better understanding of our neighbors to the north.

21+ to enter the building, 10pm - 2 am

$7 from 10-10:30pm, $10 afterwards to dance

but it's free to hang out in the downstairs lounge (with pool tables!)
