Dirty French Disco? My sound pings the postmodern youth coming to
claim our identity, build our own culture, and to support an
international scene. It's to disco what punk was to rock and roll
in the 1970s. I call it Dirty French Disco because it doesn't
really have an identity yet. Fuzzy synths resonate with distorted
guitars. Rumbling hip-hop bass lines bounce along rock inspired
beats while melodies sing between glitched out vocals. This
electrified dance music blends rock, hip-hop, disco, and new
production techniques that disrupt audience expectations and keep
the dance floors heaving with energy. It reflects
what’s happening in the undergrounds of New
York, LA and major cities in Europe, Asia and South America while
remaining applicable to the local scene. My sound brings people
together. I create a club energy that makes the movement become
what the collective attitude demands.
Really I should be a race car driver. Like racing, Djing is fun
losing myself and staying focused at the same time. However, racing
as a career is a bit too selfish and costly. So, instead I drive a
soundsystem like a stolen Lamborghini. From the instant I get on
the decks my foot comes down on the accelerator and
dosen’t come up until I finish. I disappear into
the zone and take the audience along for the ride. Playing at a
multitude of venues as varied as The W Hotel and the deep forest of
the Symbiosis Gathering has helped me refine my sound and taught me
how to connect with diverse audiences. I have been holding a
residency at the Adidas Concept Store and have played for Red Bull
at their Innovation Lounge. I am currently increasing my visibility
in the dance music scene in San Francisco. Settling in this
historically creative and innovative city makes me eager to spread
the love of music and art throughout the curious and freethinking
crowds I find at every gig. My motivation to expand my sound keeps
my sets fresh and my potential for success unlimited.
