When it comes to Boston Music Awards, singer/songwriter/troubadour Ellis Paul plays second fiddle to none other than Aerosmith (take that, Howie Day).168 Like it -

Founded by the star of your favorite local car advertisements, Ernie (that's Boch, Jr. to you) and the Automatics take their rock 'n roll sound and add a bluesy twist. Throw 'em on a boat for the night and you've got yourself a classic. -

A Capella - it's not just for college kids and Saturday afternoons on WERS. Check out The Hyannis Sound and Firedrill! aboard the Rock and Blues Cruise for a night of A Capella from Boston's best vocal talents. -

It wouldn't be summer in Boston without a ride on the Rock and Blues Cruise with the Vineyard's own drum-heavy six-piece jam/ska/reggae/rock/world band Entrain. -

Our unabashed fascination with Sgt. Pepper costumes aside, it's pretty gimmicky when a Beatles cover band look the part more than they sound the part. That's why we LOVE Beatlejuice, a tribute band that's playing all the Fab Four's hits, from the early days to the last days, while on board the Rock and Blues Cruise in Boston. -

You're incapable of having fun if you don't throw down at this installment of the Rock and Blues Cruise. It's perfection: Boston's own funkalicious soul and disco party band, Booty Vortex, perform live with all net proceeds going to the Pan Mass Challenge and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. -

What do a bunch of punks from Jersey know about mixing up Latin rhythms with rock music? As it turns out, quite a bit. deSol rocks the decks for a night aboard the Rock and Blues Cruise. -

In a way made possible only by a bunch of kids from the South Shore, Girls, Guns and Glory seamlessly combine Americana, roots and country in such an authentic way that they're this year's winners of WBCN's Rock 'n Roll Rumble. Check 'em out this Friday for a little boozin' and cruisin' around Boston Harbor with local folk rocker Chad Perrone. -

With their hard-to-nail-down sound (a quirky mix of Americana, folk, blues, ragtime '70s R&B and soul) and storytelling lyrics, it's no surprise the Ryan Montbleau Band averages about 200 shows a year.146 Like it -
