Redeem Your Gift of Travel
Gift cards can be used only for Going membership subscriptions. When you redeem a gift card, your account will be credited with the number of subscription years indicated on the gift card (e.g. 1, 2, or 5 years). Gift cards cannot be redeemed or returned for cash or applied as payment to any account, or used for the purchase of any goods or merchandise unless required by law. Gift cards also cannot be resold. Please keep your gift card in a safe place. Going is not responsible for cards lost, stolen or damaged, or used without your permission. Contact [email protected] with any questions.
How our gift cards work
I’m already a paid member. Can I redeem a gift card for a different membership tier?
No. Active paid members (Premium or Elite) can only redeem gift cards for the membership tier they are currently subscribed to.
- Premium gift cards → Premium memberships only
- Elite gift cards → Elite memberships only
- You cannot use an Elite gift card to extend, convert, or apply credit toward a Premium membership
Can I buy a gift card for myself and use it on my own account?
Yes!
If you’re a Limited (free) member, you can apply any gift card.
If you’re a paid member (Premium or Elite), you can apply a gift card as long as it matches your current tier. You’ll be able to apply the duration to your existing subscription and it will take effect immediately.

Can I buy or redeem a gift card in the mobile app?
Not at this time. Gift cards must be purchased and redeemed via our desktop or mobile browser. We're exploring mobile functionality in the future.
If your membership was purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store and you have a gift card to redeem, you’ll first need to cancel your membership. When your mobile-managed membership expires, you can then apply your gift card on the Going website.
