FAQs about
Elite
What’s the big deal with Elite compared to Premium?
Premium and Elite members get the same deals and features that help you travel more for less, but with one key difference: Elite focuses on luxury travel with economy deals plus higher fare classes with seats in premium economy, business, and first class. This goes for both our coveted cash deals and our easy to use points and miles deals. So if you’re looking to fly at the front of the plane — whether it’s for the legroom or the champagne — Elite can help you save thousands on higher fare class seats.
I’m a Premium member. How do I upgrade to Elite?
Easy breezy. Simply hop over to the Plan Selection page of your profile and choose Elite. Just like that, you’ll unlock the complete power of Going. If you have a remaining membership fee balance on your account when you upgrade, we’ll apply that directly to your Elite membership, too. For example, if you paid $49 for a Premium membership at the beginning of the year, and it’s been six months, you’ll have $24 of prorated credit remaining on your account. We’ll take that and automatically apply it to your upgrade amount for a little bonus savings
Are Premium and Elite deals really that much better? Limited is totally fine, right?
Limited is a great plan for getting a feel for what Going has to offer. If you’re mostly looking to save on domestic travel in the continental US — whether it’s to visit long distance family, check off a national park off your bucket list — then Limited might be a great fit.
Looking to travel farther? Many members upgrade to Premium or Elite to get even more savings on flights to over 900 destinations around the world.
Premium members get all economy-class domestic deals (including Hawaii, Alaska, and US territories) and international deals to destinations all over the world. Plus, you'll get specialized deals like economy points and miles, Mistake Fares, and customizable destination alerts from your Watchlist. Simply put, this plan is best for most travelers.

Mistake Fares from airports half a country away from where I live? Why would I want that?
OK, OK, hear us out. We know it sounds a little nuts, but we promise you it pays off. These flights are so cheap it truly does not matter where they leave from. It will still be worth it. Trust us.
For example, a roundtrip flight to Chile for $63 or a $354 fare to Australia (don’t laugh; those are real Mistake Fares we’ve seen) provide such mind-blowing savings, that booking another flight, even at full price, to get to the departure airport will still leave you with the deal of a lifetime.
When you can see Mistake Fares from every single US airport, you’ve got more opportunities to score deals you’ll tell your grandkids about.

I dream of business and first class tickets. But that’s as far as I’ll get. What’s the average cost of one of these flights for Elite members?
We’re here to make dreams come true. Our deals will make sitting in the fancy part of the plane a reality. You can expect to see business class deals in the $500s to Mexico and the Caribbean, around $1,200 to Latin America, $1,700 to Europe, and $2,200 to Asia. Time for that long-awaited upgrade.
These prices are obviously too good to be true. They’ve got to come with a ton of layovers, and be on those airlines you only take as a total last resort, right?
Never! Price is actually only one part of a deal—it just gets most of the attention. But the rest has to be worth it, too. That means good airlines, sensible routing, reasonable layovers, and no crazy fees.
Are your deals for last-minute, budget airline travel? Am I going to have to book a ticket and leave for the airport an hour later?
Nope! We don’t send out deals on budget airlines with poor customer ratings. Also, none of the deals we send are only available at the last minute; most deals are for travel 2-9 months in the future. We do recommend booking your trip as soon as you know you want to jump on a deal in order to secure the most options for travel dates. Our flight experts often send deals that include summer, peak season, and holiday availability.
If I’m not ready to book right away, do I have time to think it over before booking?
We let you know how long we expect each deal to last. You'll generally only have a day or two before the fare changes—but often only a few hours for a Mistake Fare.
Our advice: Use the 24-hour rule to your advantage. If you book directly with the airline, you can cancel for free within 24 hours of booking. That way, you can snag an amazing deal before it's gone, and then have a day to decide if you want to take the trip.

I’m not ready to try Premium or Elite. Can I still get deals?
Of course! You can sign up as a Limited member, which means you’ll see a small subset of our deals. That said, if you’re serious about flying cheaply to more destinations, we strongly encourage you to try Premium. And if you want to get business and first class deals or receive Mistake Fares from all US airports, Elite is the way to go.
