Virgin Atlantic Guide: How to Book with Points

Virgin Atlantic Flying Club is the name of Virgin Atlantic’s loyalty program. Nearly all credit card points transfer to Virgin, which means it is very easy to acquire and convert the points and miles you’d need to book with them.
Here’s what you need to know about booking with Virgin Atlantic.
How to create a Virgin Atlantic account
In order to search for flights you can book with Virgin Atlantic, you’ll need to be logged in. Therefore, the first step is creating a free account.
- Go to virginatlantic.com.
- Under the top menu, select Flying Club. The icon is the little person. Under the heading Flying Club, select Join Flying Club.
- The next page will ask you to enter your email.
- After entering a confirmation code, you’ll be asked to enter your name, email, address, and create a password.
- Once you submit, you’ll receive a confirmation with your new Flying Club number.

How to book with Virgin Atlantic
Step 1. After logging into VirginAtlantic.com, select Book Reward Flight
This will appear on the left-hand side of the screen.
Step 2. Select Reward flights
After logging in to your account, you’ll be redirected to the homepage. Now, select the Rewards flights icon.
Step 3. Enter your search criteria
If you are trying to book a Going with Points deal using Virgin Atlantic, you can enter the information from the deal alert here.
You’ll be asked to enter:
- Departing airport
- Arrival airport
- Departure and return trip dates
- How many passengers
The search criteria default is roundtrip, but you may have better luck searching one way with one person.
Step 4. Browse flight options
After clicking search, you’ll see a seven-day calendar displaying the lowest amount of Virgin points you’ll need.
Click continue, and you’ll see a list of flights you can choose from.
After selecting a departing flight, you’ll see a list of return flight options.
When you’re ready to book your flight, click continue.
Step 5. Select a flight and confirm your booking.
A new screen will display your itinerary.
If this itinerary looks good to you, click the red button that reads “Next, review and pay” to book your trip.
Transfer partners with Virgin Atlantic
It’s easy to amass Virgin Points because nearly every credit card point currency is a transfer partner with Virgin Atlantic. This means that you can transfer 1,000 credit card points to become 1,000 Virgin points with:
